Thai Life Insurance Company, the number 2 life insurance company in Thailand, is a bit of a paradox. On one hand, they proudly trumpet that they are a Thai owned life insurance company for the Thai people, giving the impression that they could care less about us farangs (expats). And, on the other hand, they have gone to all of the trouble of making their website fully readable in English. The real irony here is that the number 1 seller of life insurance in Thailand, with proud roots in America, doesn’t provide any product information in English on their website. |

Thai Life Insurance offers some good products. But the sale of Thai-based life insurance policies to foreigners is tightly regulated. Foreigners must have a work permit to purchase life insurance from a life insurance company in Thailand. The premium for Thai-baht life insurance is tax deductible. |

We offer companies like Zurich and Friends Provident, among others. This coverage cannot be purchased with Thai-baht. The premiums must be paid in US dollar, Euros or other major forms of currency. What ever currency you pay with, that is the same currency that insurance will pay off in. |
